Filling a need in the veterinary community

WAG: Whole Animal Gym is Philadelphia’s first & finest specialized veterinary care facility focusing on rehabilitation, pain management & fitness. With treatment options including hydrotherapy, acupuncture, LASER and ultrasound treatments, as well as herb and traditional medication regimens, WAG offers a variety of services for pets for a various ailments, injuries, and conditions for dogs and cats, while encouraging clients to actively participate in their pets' recovery and fitness. Whether we are helping patients recovering from surgery or those suffering from arthritis, WAG can provide owners with complements and/or alternatives to medications for their pets, especially those with liver-related ailments, and those of our feline friends not able to take traditional arthritis medications.

WAG is led by Medical Director, Christina L. Fuoco, VMD, CVA, CCRT. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania and working for several years in private practice, Dr. Fuoco brought veterinary acupuncture to Philadelphia in 2004.  In 2010, she left general practice and opened WAG. With pet friendly surfaces such as non-slip recycled rubber flooring, plush pet beds and a semi-private environment, WAG offers reduced stress to patients compared to traditional veterinary facilities allowing pets to relax and remain at ease to enjoy their evaluation and treatments.

In addition to directing WAG, Dr. Fuoco provides alternative treatments to patients at the Philadelphia Zoo, mentors University of Pennsylvania vet students interested in alternative treatments and lectures locally to vet practices, dog parks and support groups.
